I found this wasp nest inside this clay pot which I had hung in the fig tree to weight a branch. The fig tree is a cutting taken from my husbands grandmother's tree. We rooted a slip when we knew her house would be sold and carried the little tree with us for years before we had a place to plant it permanently. It grew beautifully into a large tree and gave us many, many pounds of delicious fresh figs every year. Some I made into chutney, some jam, but most were eaten fresh from the tree. I shared many more slips from this tree with former friends and I hope their trees are doing well.
